In the early 2000s, a freelance musician in Oakland decided he was tired of stale coffee. So he opened a roaster.

The Origin

Named after Central Europe's first coffee house, The Blue Bottle Coffee House, we made a historic vow: to only sell coffee less than 48 hours out of the roaster.

Today, that obsession with freshness, peak flavor, and the precise art of brewing remains unchanged. We taste every roast, adjust our extractions, and never compromise on the sensory experience.
